RFID electronic tag application: Jiangsu Public Transport “One Card” for provincial interconnection and interoperability
The interconnection of the “one card” public transportation system means that the public transportation systems in different cities can recognize and pass through each other. Citizens only need one card to conveniently take public transportation throughout the province, eliminating the need to frequently purchase public transportation cards from different cities, greatly facilitating travel. Recently, it was reported that Jiangsu’s “One Card” transportation system will be interconnected throughout the province next year. Regarding the concern of Changzhou citizens about whether Changzhou bus cards need to be replaced, the Changzhou Citizen Card Work Promotion Group Office recently stated that the previously issued IC cards with transportation functions can continue to be used locally. According to relevant documents from the provincial government, the “one card” public transportation system in the province has basically achieved interconnectivity.
The goal of the provincial public transportation “one card” is to issue the provincial public transportation “one card” card based on the unified standard system of the Ministry of Transport in various regions, in order to meet the needs of passengers to swipe cards and take public transportation in other places within the province. The “One Card” for public transportation throughout the province will be implemented in accordance with the technical plan of “unified standards, moderate replacement of equipment, and new card exchange”. The card will not be registered or reported as lost.
