RFID electronic tag manufacturers share under what circumstances RFID electronic anti-counterfeiting tags fail 123

RFID electronic anti-counterfeiting tags are very common in our lives. RFID is similar to barcode scanning, but it uses dedicated RFID readers and RFID electronic tags that can be attached to the target object. It uses frequency signals to transmit information from the RFID electronic tag to the RFID reader. If RFID electronic tags fail, they will not be able to be scanned and applied. Under what circumstances will RFID electronic anti-counterfeiting tags fail?

There are three situations where RFID tags fail:
Scenario 1: Damaged label

RFID electronic tags have chips that may fail if they are subjected to external pressure or high static electricity. Antennas, if the RFID signal reception antenna is damaged, it can also cause failure. So RFID electronic tags must not be compressed, damaged or torn open. Generally, RFID electronic tags with high requirements are packaged in plastic cards to avoid external damage.

Scenario 2: The label is not damaged

RFID electronic tags cannot pass through metal, so metal can be shielded. It is difficult to penetrate water, water can absorb waves, and the sensing distance is limited. When covered, RFID can penetrate non-metallic or non-transparent materials such as paper, wood, and plastic, and can perform penetrating communication. The barcode scanner must be able to read the barcode at close range and without any obstacles.

Third scenario: Reading distance too far

In practical high-frequency RFID electronic tag applications, we need to pay special attention to the bonding position of the 13.56MHz RFID electronic tag. Due to the large size of the tag and the limited space allowed in practice, RFID electronic tags need to be directly attached to the metal surface or adjacent to the metal device. For example, the 13.56MHz RFID smart tag used in mobile phones is often integrated directly into the battery aluminum alloy stamped shell due to space issues. In this way, during the recognition process, RFID electronic tags are susceptible to eddy current interference from the battery aluminum alloy stamped shell, resulting in a significant reduction in the actual effective reading distance of the RFID tag or simply no response, resulting in complete reading failure. Practice has proven that such interference problems often occur, and we need to take certain measures to prevent them.

Under what circumstances will RFID electronic tags malfunction? That’s all for sharing here. We must avoid the above situations when using RFID electronic tags, only in this way can we try to avoid the malfunction of RFID electronic tags as much as possible.
